Eustis campaign issues stance on town legal notices
October 3, 2007

Argyle, NY – Kelly S. Eustis, Conservative candidate for Argyle town councilman, has released a new, and fifth, campaign initiative which concerns the issue of legal notices for the Town of Argyle. Called “Expanding Legal Notice Exposure,” it calls on the town to publicize the legal notices, which are used to inform residents of public hearings, in both the Post-Star and Greenwich Journal & Salem Press newspapers to better inform those living in Argyle. Currently, notices are only placed in the Greenwich Journal as it is the town’s official newspaper.

Eustis has presented many reasons to expand publicity. “Posting notices in the Post-Star allows more people to see it. It is delivered and available on a daily basis, is published online as well as in print, and has a much larger circulation. There are numerous benefits to using both local newspapers.”

“This issue has been stressed to me by residents on many occasions, even before I announced my candidacy. Increasing communication and providing information to residents has been one of the forces behind my campaign.”

A list of all initiatives can be found on the campaign’s website, www.kellyseustis.com. Eustis is the only candidate in Argyle to have a website that presents to voters his views on the issues, press releases, news articles, and contact information.
